We took on Bury North FC in our inaugural game in the Rochdale, Bury & District League. Having worked tirelessly on the training pitch from the beginning of July and showed real commitment through our pre-season games, it would be safe to say we were up for it.

Not an ideal start to the campaign with both our captain and vice-captain out of action along with 3 more injuries. Stuart took the captaincy and did a great job leading from the back. From kick off we were dominant in possession and organised when out of possession. Within minutes we were in the lead and always looked like we were going to score. Great finishing from Jack up top and a cracking hat-trick from Ben at center back. Our MOTM was Josh Warburton who grafted for a solid 90 minutes and contributed in all areas.
Bury North didn’t put up much of a fight and didn’t pose a serious threat in front of goal. That being said it was their third game as a team and we wish them all the luck in the future.
The match finished 8-0 with goals coming from Jack Worsick (4), Ben Stanton (3), and Andy Rafferty (1).
